Maura was born in the south, calling her hometown Savannah, Georgia. So, upon meeting her, you can expect all of that southern graces, charm and hospitality. She began acting and performing in the community theaters of Savannah. Maura received her Bachelor’s Degree in Drama from Catholic University. After graduation, she began her professional acting career and has never looked back. She completed her MFA in Acting from UCIrvine, where she began her teaching career as well.

Known for her sharp wit, her love of heightened language and her vocal prowess, Maura always leads with deep connectivity, integrity, intelligence and honesty in any given performance. To sum it up, her work stems from heart song.

That being said, please ask her to tackle your zaniest, off-kilter, whackiest characters!  She is a mimic, a student of humanity and a lover of all the unbalanced (with subtly and authenticity).

From narration to podcasts, to animation and the big WIDE WORLD of VIDEO GAMES, trust that Maura will always provide endless amounts of unique interpretation, variations and grounded choices. Most recently, Maura has returned to musical theatre with the many of productions of Come From Away. She couldn’t be happier!

When not performing, Maura is an avid quilt and textile designer, a “practically-ready-for-great-british-baking-show” baker,” a fabulous home cook and mom. One of the founding members of the Bronson Canyon Resistance Bakers, Maura has helped to contribute to over 500K raised since 2007 for any and all causes (together… we are baking a difference one cookie at a time).
